Gina Miller, LCPC, NCC

Practicing Since: 2015

Gina practices using a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and dialectal-behavioral therapy (DBT) approach, with an emphasis on trauma and behavioral issues. She provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive therapy space. Gina aims to challenge unhelpful behaviors and negative thoughts that may be standing in a person’s way of living a fulfilling, happy life. Gina finds that self-care as well as effective coping skills are motivators on the journey to healing. Her practice incorporates the teaching of creative mindfulness and relaxation activities to help reduce anxiety and depression symptoms.

Gina has vast experience working with people from all walks of life. She is patient to learn about new cultures and religions, and how these norms affect people’s views on mental health. Therapy can be highly beneficial for anyone who is looking to cope with stress or find better balance in their life.

Gina received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Her career began in 2015 as an art group facilitator at a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. Gina learned that creating art helps with healing and in the expression of emotions that are difficult to describe.

When she needs to find peace of mind, Gina can be found barefoot-gardening herbs and vegetables. Her passion is making homemade meals for herself and her husband using fresh ingredients she grows from her own garden.

Gina is licensed in the state of Maryland (#LC13438).
