Angelia Mount, LGPC

Practicing Since: 2023

Angelia’s goal in therapy is to create a safe, non-judgmental place for her clients to feel comfortable and to be honest about their concerns/needs. She believes in a balanced approach to wellness- implementing interventions to aid in the health of the whole person- mind, body, and spirit.

The therapeutic process offers people a place to allow for reflection, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their lives. It allows a chance for perspective; asking why they might be experiencing uncomfortable issues, feelings, and thoughts. Angelia’s goal in therapy is to assist individuals in processing these ailments that they do not allow themselves to process, or they don’t know how to process alone. She will listen and validate those who need it, and work with them to provide the tools they need to reach a place of comfort and understanding.

Coming from an educational background, Angelia earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in early childhood development, as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership. Having been a teacher for 29 years in public, private, and homeschool settings, Angelia has extensive experience working with children and families.

Having no biological children of her own, Angelia has always considered the students she has taught over the years to be partly hers- sharing not only her knowledge, but also her love with each of them. When she is not in class or in the counseling room, Angelia enjoys reading a good book, staying active by swimming, trying new restaurants, and traveling to new places.

Angelia Mount is licensed in the state of Maryland (#LGP15688) under the clinical supervision of Matthew Richardson, LCPC (#LC7868).
