Kathleen “Kathy” Kruft, Master’s Level Clinical Intern
Practicing Since: 2024
Kathy Kruft aims to create an atmosphere for clients that is empathetic, encouraging, accepting and supporting. Her treatment modalities will include strengths-based and evidence-based philosophies and techniques. She also emphasizes client resilience and assisting growth towards peace despite the world’s hardships.
Kathy believes that we all need encouragement at certain times in our lives and help in getting over life’s speed bumps and burdens. As a clinical counseling intern, she has learned ways to assist her clients in moving towards improving their mental health, and to encourage her clients that bettering themselves is possible.
Having received her bachelors and master’s degrees in Elementary Education and comes with many years of elementary teaching, Kathy is well equipped to service the child and adolescent populations with their mental health struggles.
Kathy is happily married with two children–one is a New Orleans-based musician and the other a writer. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys reading, horseback riding, and being out in nature.
Kathleen Kruft is under the clinical supervision of Eric Kuessner, LCSW-C (License #: 22502).
